Pre-season warm-up.......Any-one?

It seems that more and more in the climbing community are talking about heading to Kjuge this week-end. A strong posse from Malmö are planning an attack on saturday if not both days. The west coast posse are set to make an appearance on sunday and monday as well as "The Locals". Thankfully my girlfriend has allowed me to borrow my own car (clearly "ownership" means nothing in a "realtionship"). Whats mine is ours and whats hers is her own. LOL! So i hope to get in both days to really jump-start the upcoming season.
Since the end of last season here in sweden i have been basically just been climbing solid. Mostly trad here in Sweden and Norway as well as a trip to Ireland and Czech Rep where we bouldered on the black sandstone.
So the time has come to dig out the small shoes, chalk bucket and brush. Having hardly given bouldering a thought all summer, i feel psyched to get on it and crush. Moving from trad to boulder can be a process (or,maybe its just me). A different approach is needed, an explosiveness and focus that sets it apart from climbing trad lines of a mediocre grade, as i do.
I know some lunatics have continued to boulder at kjuge all summer, but for alot of us it has been a long wait. For me, i feel the wait has been long enough. Am not expecting primo conditions but a good chance to repeat old favourites and get a feel for it again. Hopefully the weather will co-operate and we'll all have blast. Shine on!
